The cobblers which ITV talked about "News at Ten"

For many years, ITV lobbied to move "News at Ten" to 10.30pm. It was raised in parliament. They were very determined about it. Their franchise arrangements had to be modified. Their main argument seemed to be that they wanted us to watch the James Bond films without an interruption for the news.

That campaign and that argument has now turned out to be utter and complete cobblers.

Presumably, they have now shown us all the Bond films, uninterrupted, so can now put the news back at 10 o'clock.

But their tail is very firmly between their legs.
