A worrying gap in James Purnell's knowledge

James Purnell, who until a few days ago was Culture Secretary, said on Sunday AM that "The BBC have four (television) channels now". It actually has more than that. They have 21 by my reckoning. I would have thought a freshly ex-Culture Secretary should know that. I don't think this bodes very well for his performance as Work and Pensions Secretary.

*17 if you discount the ones they co-own.
