A great quote from Chris Huhne speaking earlier this evening. When asked about the government decentralisation that Labour are planning, Chris emphasised that true decentralisation must truly give real discretion to local communities. Labour's instinct is keep key decisions and targets controlled in London.
Chris said that people are very suspicious of imposed solutions from London because then "like with Rail privatisation, you end up with a nationwide BALLS UP".
