The EU has an image problem, we are told. Many people, especially youngsters, are, apparently, bored with it.
So, what better solution than getting the German and French Foreign Ministers to record a duet together and release it on You Tube?
It is such an obvious and attractive idea than you really wonder why on earth it wasn't done years ago.
