When asked what leadership is, Chris Huhne this evening outlined the need for a leader honestly assess their own strengths and weaknesses and then build a team which delivers. The leader also needs, he said, to represent the party at the highest level with weight and gravitas - proving that they are someone people think can be trusted to run the country.
He said that, to get up to 25%+ in the voting share, we need to prove "we're competent to run the economy".
He pointed out that the Liberal Democrats have far better economists on their front bench than either the Tories or Labour. I suppose he's right - him, Vince Cable, David Laws, Ed Davey (help me out if I have missed any).
