As Nick Robinson pointed out this evening, Gordon Brown's right hand was visibly trembling as he answered David Cameron today.
He really needs to step back from these encounters, learn a bit of style and bring a bit of humour into them. I can't imagine the late John Smith answering David Cameron with such bruising obviousness. He would have injected a little light humour into the scenario.
