The Telegraph's flagship sinks

It is worth remembering that the Telegraph started all the expenses "revelations" with a massive front page splash (above) on Gordon Brown and his brother and their cleaning arrangements. The article was the flagship of their expenses reports.

I was baffled as to who the photo next to Gordon Brown was when I saw the paper. It was Andrew Brown, his brother. I think the Telegraph should apologise to the poor man now it turns out that their attempt to accuse Gordon Brown and his brother of impropriety was TOTAL BOLLOCKS as this subsequent report in the Telegraph demonstrates. The cleaning arrangement was entirely proper and backed up by contracts and details invoices from a professional cleaner, and the sharing of the cost between the brothers was spot on to the penny.
