Here we go. Tories getting tough on lone parents. Well, I suppose it is reassuring that the Tories haven't changed their spots. I fear they may be preaching to people who would desperately like to be in work anyway, or making a mountain out of a molehill.
It all seems so terribly self-righteous and holier than thou.
HR Zone reports:
Lone parent families are at a greater risk of experiencing poverty and material hardship than coupled families and report higher levels of ill health, disabilities and household debt.
It just seems hard to take sermons about "tough love" from David Cameron, an Old Etonian who is rolling in it.
