Great - Tories back in "bash the layabouts" mode

It's always nice when the true Tory party re-emerges. Yesterday we heard Cameron talking about "responsibility" and "right" and "wrong". Today we have Chris Grayling singing Old Tory Hymn 249: Bash the unemployed layabouts:

We have to move away from a system that is founded on entitlement to one where both state and the individual have clear responsibilities. We need to improve the help we give to people to get them back into work. But in return they have to take part in a clear process to get them there. If they refuse, they will lose their out of work benefits.

In short, we need a system where it is not possible to spend long periods of time at home doing nothing while claiming benefits.

Yessss!!! Wonderful! It is all excellent in my view. The good old Tory party re-takes its rightful place in the diaspora. Bashing the shirkers. I was always uncomfortable with Cameron sidling up to liberals in "let sunshine win the day" mode.
