The scandal of traffic infested Parliament Square

On a couple of occasions I have braved the traffic to cross over and mozzy around Parliament Square looking at the statues and watching the world go round from its comparative sanctuary. Indeed, I took the photo above recently. It's of the Lloyd George statue in Parliament Square, particularly trying to show the effect of the beans he consumed prior to posing for it.

It's a shame then that plans to create a proper public pedestrianised area in front of parliament have been abandoned by Boris Johnson, along with plans to create the country's largest fleet of hydrogen-powered vehicles.
