Alastair Campbell's diaries have topped the list of books most likely to be left behind in hotel rooms. They cost £15 and only came out a few months ago, so this is a remarkable achievement.
The runners-up were Piers Morgan and Katie Price, so Campbell is in....er....company.
I have not felt compelled to shell out 15 quid on Campbell's opus, as yet.
However, a few weeks ago I was having problems sleeping. So I sat down in front of BBC2's Alastair Campbell's Diaries and was sent speedily into the arms of Morpheus.
The suggestion from him that Diana was in love with him, or some such, will have me laughing for many years to come.
