Speaker Ming?

Nick Assinder raises the prospect of Ming as Speaker of the House of Commons. I can think of no finer person for the job. There is, I suspect, no more suitable role to utliise Ming's undoubted sound judgment, parliamentary experience and integrity.

There is a slight problem. The job is not currently vacant.
